Claude Certified Architect Professional: Complete Course

Course Details
Prepare for the Claude Certified Architect - Professional exam while learning how to design, evaluate, integrate, secure, and operate production-grade Claude solutions.
CCAR-P goes beyond understanding individual Claude features. It focuses on the broader responsibilities of a professional AI architect: translating business requirements into technical solutions, selecting appropriate architecture patterns, integrating enterprise data and systems, balancing quality against latency and cost, managing risk and compliance, and guiding a solution throughout its lifecycle.
Throughout the course, you will use ShopAssist AI as a practical architecture case study. What begins as a Claude-powered customer support application expands into an enterprise-style system with structured outputs, backend tools, MCP integrations, Retrieval-Augmented Generation, agentic workflows, evaluation pipelines, observability, security controls, human review, and operational feedback loops.
The course covers all seven CCAR-P domains:
Domain 1: Solution Design & Architecture — 17%. You will translate business problems into Claude-powered solutions, design end-to-end architectures, compare workflows, augmented LLMs, and agentic systems, design multi-agent architectures, and decompose complex business problems.
Domain 2: Claude Models, Prompting & Context Engineering — 13%. You will select Claude models based on production trade-offs, design system prompts and guardrails, apply prompting strategies, manage context windows and token usage, and use prompt reuse techniques including caching and Skills.
Domain 3: Integration — 19%. You will design RAG pipelines, choose chunking and retrieval strategies, evaluate MCP, API, CLI, and agent-to-agent integrations, analyze authentication and authorization, control capability bloat, design for progressive discovery, and build observability into distributed AI systems.
Domain 4: Evaluation, Testing & Optimization — 16%. You will design evaluation scorecards and representative datasets, combine code-based, model-based, and human evaluation, perform A/B testing, diagnose system failures, and optimize token usage, latency, and production quality.
Domain 5: Governance, Safety & Risk Management — 14%. You will identify AI risks, design layered guardrails, apply least privilege, incorporate human-in-the-loop validation, and understand how privacy, GDPR, HIPAA, FedRAMP, bias, fairness, and transparency influence architecture decisions.
Domain 6: Stakeholder Communication & Lifecycle Management — 14%. You will conduct structured discovery, communicate architecture decisions and trade-offs, manage SLA expectations, create actionable architecture documentation, and guide solutions from discovery through deployment and continuous improvement.
Domain 7: Developer Productivity & Operational Enablement — 7%. You will understand how Claude Code and AI-assisted development workflows support engineering teams and how architects approach debugging, incident analysis, and operational issue resolution.
By the end of the course, you will understand not only how Claude-powered systems work, but how to own their architecture from business discovery through production operation. You will be prepared to reason about the trade-offs, risks, integration choices, evaluation methods, and stakeholder decisions emphasized by the Claude Certified Architect - Professional certification.
