Course Details

This course contains the use of artificial intelligence.

This course prepares you for the CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+) exam, CS0-004 — the fourth version of CySA+, aimed at working SOC and vulnerability analysts. CompTIA recommends Security+ level knowledge and about four years of hands-on experience in a SOC analyst or vulnerability analyst role.

You get 6 practice tests of 50 questions each, 300 questions total, split across the four official domains at CompTIA's published weights: Security Operations (34%), Vulnerability Management (26%), Incident Response and Management (24%) and Reporting and Communication (16%). Every numbered sub-objective is covered, including the new CS0-004 objective 1.6 on the use of AI in security operations.

The differentiator: every question ships with its own original infographic, 300 diagrams total, each built for that specific question. A question about a suspicious process tree gets a diagram of that process tree; a question about CVSS scoring gets a diagram of the metric breakdown.

Questions are set in an enterprise SOC with a hybrid estate — on-prem Active Directory, IaaS workloads, EDR, SIEM, SOAR, a vulnerability scanner and a threat-intelligence feed. They hinge on order, cause, or the right tool: reading telemetry and deciding the next action, using real terminology such as MITRE ATT&CK tactics, CVSS v4 metrics, Sigma and YARA, NetFlow and EDR telemetry. Every question includes a conversational short explanation plus a detailed professional explanation of why the correct answer works and why the other options do not.

Each test is timed at 90 minutes with a 70% passing target. The real exam has a maximum of 85 questions in 165 minutes, with a passing score of 750 on a 100–900 scale, and includes performance-based items; this course uses multiple-choice questions.
