LEED Green Associate Practice Tests: 560 Questions

Course Details
Understand Your Preparation Goals
Preparing for the LEED Green Associate exam takes planning, practice, and a clear sense of what you need to study. The exam covers the LEED process, integrative process and location and transportation, sustainable sites and water efficiency, energy and atmosphere, materials and resources, and indoor environmental quality. This course gives you a structured way to practise that range, check where you stand, and build a steady study routine before your exam.
What This Course Covers
This course contains 560 multiple-choice practice questions, divided across six sections:
Section 1: LEED Process (111 questions)
USGBC and GBCI roles, rating system selection, minimum program requirements, prerequisites versus credits, certification levels, credential tiers, and the LEED v5 impact areas.
Section 2: Integrative Process and Location and Transportation (80 questions)
Integrative process timing and systems thinking, life-cycle cost analysis, site assessment, sensitive land avoidance, transit and vehicle miles travelled, and parking, bicycle, and electric vehicle infrastructure.
Section 3: Sustainable Sites and Water Efficiency (93 questions)
Heat island reduction, rainwater management, light pollution, habitat protection and open space, indoor and outdoor water reduction, alternative water sources, and water metering.
Section 4: Energy and Atmosphere (95 questions)
Commissioning, energy modelling and minimum energy performance, building energy loads, renewable energy pathways, electrification, refrigerant management, advanced energy metering, and demand response.
Section 5: Materials and Resources (85 questions)
Environmental and health product declarations, embodied carbon and life-cycle assessment, building and material reuse, construction waste diversion, recycled content, responsible sourcing, and low-emitting materials.
Section 6: Indoor Environmental Quality (96 questions)
Minimum indoor air quality performance, tobacco smoke control, low-emitting materials, construction indoor air quality management, thermal comfort, daylighting, views, and acoustics.
Learn Through Practice
Each question is followed by a detailed explanation. The explanation for the correct answer is marked clearly, and each other option is explained as well, so you can see why it does not fit. Reviewing both correct and incorrect answers is where much of the learning happens, especially where two green building strategies look similar but apply in different situations.
Practice With 560 Questions
Multiple-choice questions help you apply what you have studied, check your understanding, and become familiar with question-based assessment. The questions in this course mix direct knowledge questions with realistic building scenarios, so you practise both recall and judgement. You can take the tests in any order and repeat them as often as you like.
Understand the Reason Behind Each Answer
Do not rush past a question after you see the score. Read the explanations, note the topics where you guessed, and keep a short list of weak areas. When a scenario question surprises you, ask yourself which LEED category it belongs to and which strategy the situation calls for. That habit is useful well beyond this course.
Study at Your Own Pace
You can organise your study around the six sections. Start with the LEED process, then work through location, sites, water, energy, materials, and indoor quality, or begin with the area you feel least sure about. Revisit a section, repeat its questions, and focus extra time on the topics that keep catching you out.
Build a Practical Exam Preparation Routine
A simple routine works well:
1. Study one section at a time.
2. Answer its practice questions.
3. Read every explanation carefully.
4. Write down the topics you got wrong or were unsure about.
5. Repeat the questions to check your improvement.
6. Review your notes before your exam.
Practice scores can help you spot weak areas, but they do not guarantee exam results.
Is This Course Right for You?
This course is for you if you are preparing for the LEED Green Associate exam, if you work in design, construction, facilities, or sustainability, or if you want to check your green building knowledge before the exam. It is also useful if you want to refresh green building concepts after training, or to learn how sustainability choices apply across a building.

Professional and Career Relevance
Knowledge of green building supports day-to-day work in design, construction, and facilities, from choosing sites and materials to tracking energy, water, and indoor quality. It helps you talk about sustainability, health, and building performance in a way that employers and project teams recognise, and it gives you a shared language with architects, engineers, and owners. This course focuses on that practical knowledge, and on preparing you for the LEED Green Associate exam.
